Maria Ureña has most definitely helped me out the most. She was always more than willing to help me out and she is the reason why I am at the school that I am today. I will forever be grateful to her and her kindness.

My advisor Aileen Mata was super helpful because she answered all my questions and provided encouragement.

My siblings, I want to set them a path and help them be a better version of me, so I put all my effort into everything I do. I am the oldest of three and hope that we all become successful in our future.

My roommate my siblings as well as my IL worker and school counselor have helped me financially get through a lot. It has been tough but we have got it to all come together for the most part and I couldn’t have done it without all these people. I couldn’t be more thankful for the people in my life!

  6. Isabel Ramos says:

The people that got me here our my mom, teachers, mentors, and myself. Also, my failures and people not expecting me to go to college. I name these people and myself because without the encouragement, guidance, and dedication from these people and myself, I don’t think I would be here.

My family has helped me with where I am today, which is college. They helped me keep my goals in check and reminded me of what I’m doing this for. Taking care of my brothers when I was younger put a role on myself to be someone they could look up to. Thankfully today, I am.

I would say my family who are my support system especially my aunties and uncle. They have always been here to support and encourage me to strive higher. I am grateful to have them in my life because I wouldn’t be attending UW without their help in the planning and college application process. They have taught me to be the person I am today even through difficult times.

  13. Kylie I Maioriello says:

I would definitely say that my CPA Mara was a huge help in getting me where I am today. (In a four-year university and working) Without her help, I’m not sure I would have been able to make it to college, much less a college away from home. As loving and caring as my mom is, she doesn’t know all the ins and outs of the college application process and FAFSA and loan payments and loan dispersal. Having Mara there to help me find my way was life-changing. I know all CSF students who get to work with her are in for a treat. She is amazing!

Hands down, I would say my Auntie Larie and Uncle Matt. They always have the best advice, always encourage me to try something new, and are there for me when I need them most. I love them so much, they rock! I hope everyone can have a special person (like they are to me) in their lives 🙂
